VI COMMANDO

L/Cpl. Harry Tunstall, formerly of the Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding) Regiment, served with No.1 Troop of 5^th Special Services Battalion (No.6 Commando) (later becoming No.101) Troop of No.6 Commando from 1940 (Scarborough).

L/Cpl. Harry Tunstall was drowned in a canoeing accident during an exercise undertaken by No.101 Troop running from Glenfinnan to Loch Shiell on 8^th March 1941, aged 28 years. Despite extensive searches his body was never recovered.
